About Rangapara

Rangapara is a small town situated in the Sonitpur district of Assam. Rangapara is bordered by Misamari on the west, Bhalukpong on the north, Balipara and Charduar in the east and Bansbera and Bindukuri on the south. It is a town area committee of the district. Agriculture is the primary occupation of Rangapara.

According to the 2001 census, Rangapara had a population of 18,822. The average literacy rate is 76% and the population percentage of males to females is 54% to 46%.
